When I was a little kid, less than nine years old, my parents and I lived in a neighborhood close to the center of our city, Thessaloniki.
I remember those times not too vividly, but there is one incident that I do remember and that has characterized my life since then. At the time, one of the most popular soft drinks had presented a new TV ad, coupled with a print campaign. In fact, I am not even sure that it was a TV ad...it might have been a radio one, as what I do remember are three words, that were part of the ad jingle and I had also seen them in print ads.
The words were:''Thirst for Life''. I was so impressed by them and they resonated with me so much, that I vowed that I would remember these three words FOR LIFE.
And I did.
During the first few years after that day, I tried hard and sometimes I forgot them for years in a row and then something happened and I remembered them again and then forgot them again and the cycle repeated itself.
Today, decades later, the three words are easy to remember and recall at will whenever I want.
They have become part of my character and part of my mentality and they very accurately describe the way I view life.
This is my first blog post and this, being one of most valuable life memories, is what I wanted to share with all of you.
